Under Supervisor guidance, The Lease Analyst II, will ensure the proper analysis and interpretation of Oil and Gas leases as well as the continued maintenance and accuracy of these leases.

 

 Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Includes but not limited to:

Analyzes, interprets, and maintains leases and title ownership of mineral and royalty interests of Viper Energy Partners, LLCReview and input of Leases and Contracts in the Quorum Land SystemMonitor well production and coordinate with other departments to proactively manage mineral positions owned by Viper Energy Partners, LLCReview of documents and supporting information to verify obligation payments for surface, rentals, delay rentals, and minimum royalty paymentsDetermine net revenue interests and burdens associated with interests based on title analysis of deeds, assignments, purchase & sale agreements, probate documents, leases, and royalty agreementsActs as liaison to Accounting, Land, and Division Orders departments when necessaryEnsure provisions are accurately identified, obligation payments are met, and keep leases and contracts validOther duties as assigned by managerThis position will report to the Land Administration Manager and is in Midland, TX

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent GED5 years Oil and Gas Lease Analyst experienceStrong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s preferredExperience with Quorum Experience working with Indian, State, and Federal leases within the Midland and Delaware basins
