This position reports to the NAMER Learning Delivery Manager. This role utilizes the candidate’s knowledge of NCR business and products and their expertise in adult education techniques to implement and deliver learning curriculum for their prescribed audience. They work closely with the NAMER Learning Delivery Manager, the Learning Business Partner, and the Learning Specialist to understand the business requirements and the skill sets requiring enhancement. The Instructor facilitates and delivers a comprehensive learning program or events that enhance a learner’s knowledge/skill and improves the overall effectiveness of the business unit/organization (to include instructor led, virtual and mobile training in the field). Although important, the design and development of learning programs are secondary in this particular role to the delivery and instruction.

The position is needed to support mobile training, new hire and module specific training as well as module specific training in Peachtree City, GA. The person hired will travel 50% of the time to train Customer Engineers in the field.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Facilitate course delivery using classroom, lab, VILT (virtual instructor-led training), online  and mobile training (which could entail teaching out of state) methods of instructionMaintain classroom facilities and equipment and ensure learning materials necessary for the class are availableUse existing knowledge combined with analytical skills to identify updates to course contentUse a variety of delivery techniques, leveraging formal and informal delivery tools such as virtual classrooms, web conferencing, discussion forums, blogs, and wikisExecute course delivery according to the published training scheduleUse continuous improvement processes and tools to improve Services Learning processes to increase the value-add provided to our customersCourse owner for assigned instructor-led training coursesSupports course development by providing subject matter expertise for assigned productPerforms course maintenanceDevelop performance support (e.g. job aids, YouTube style videos, etc.)Mentor new instructors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1-2 years of technical field experience (hardware such as an ATM) or Associates Degree in a technical/troubleshooting/mechanical fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to resolve conflictMust be adaptable and be able to shift roles at a moment’s noticeAbility to work in a team environmentStrong (demonstrated) public speaking or presentation skillsProficiency in MS Office productsExperienced with working in a matrix-managed organizationExperience servicing NCR supported equipment (e.g. POS, Self-Check Out, ATMs, or networking hardware)Must be available to work extra hours, shift schedules and participate in mobile training, as well as travel to various locations as needed to teach classesMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for hours at a timeMust have an active driver’s license and be able to safely operate a van

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related technical certificate/discipline OR 5-7 years of experience working in Learning or Education-related discipline2 – 3 years teaching adult learners technical/machinery/electrical topicsProven ability to work within a team environment, juggle multiple projects, and adapt to frequent changeAbility to build rapport with internal and external customersAbility to visualize and verbalize technical concepts in understandable terms and be instructionally savvy to deliver clear and effective instructional contentProven ability to learn quickly and work independentlyAbility to self manageExperience servicing networking and telecom products (i.e. Cisco routers/switches, Ciena optical)Experience servicing PCs and Servers (Dell, Cisco, etc.)Experience servicing retail POS systemsExperience servicing Self Check Out machinesExperience servicing ATMs (NCR and multivendor)

Travel requirements:

Up to 50% travel (domestic or international)
