Job Overview: The Learning Partner, Commercial lending technology plays a pivotal role in empowering North American Commercial Banking (NACB) personnel with the knowledge and skills required to navigate BMO’s Commercial Lending Systems. This role leads the development, planning and execution of a blended learning strategy designed to deliver a best-in-class training experience. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Training Manager ensure that learning solutions are aligned with business objective and continuously evolve to meet the needs of our teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead multiple training strategy initiatives across BMO’s Commercial Lending Systems, varying in size and complexitySchedule and coordinate training sessions, communications and learning asset updatesDevelop and maintain interactive eLearning modules based on deep Commercial Lending System expertiseFacilitate live virtual training session to enhance Commercial Lending System proficient across NACB personnelCoach and mentor training participants, track progress and incorporate feedback into continuous improvement effortsIdentify areas requiring supplemental training and share best practices to streamline learning approachesProvide real-time support during training sessions, including chat-based troubleshooting in MS TeamsEnsure all learning content posted to NACB websites is current and relevantCollaborate with Change Management and SMEs to align training initiatives with broader business strategiesReview and refine learning assets to support the implementation of comprehensive training plansDeliver timely, accurate, and efficient execution of all training-related tasks

Qualifications / Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

2-5 years of experience in Learning & Development, with hands-on knowledge of Commercial Lending Systems1-3 years of experience managing competing priorities in fast-paced environmentsIn-depth knowledge of Commercial Banking underwriting, portfolio management, product, policies and regulationsAdult Learning accreditation preferred

Technical Skills

Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for reporting) and PowerPoint (for presentations)Strong experience with Articulate 30, including content layout and eLearning developmentProven ability to design, develop and maintain interactive learning assets and eLearning modulesAbility to troubleshoot and resolve issues within Commercial Lending Systems, adhering to policies and process guidelines

Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsExpert facilitation and presentation abilities for virtual training sessionsAnalytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detailAbility to influence and collaborate across teams and functionsSkilled in mentoring and coaching junior Training AnalystsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExperience translating technical and business requirements into clear, engaging learning content

Salary:

$65,600.00 - $122,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
