Japan Consumer Innovation (JCI) Retail Employee Development Team is seeking a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) who is passionate to contributes to our mission - developing capabilities of Amazon JP Retail customer including vendors and employees through quality learning solutions. It's a unique opportunity to be able to transform JP Retail customer through your Learning & Development or Instructional Design related expertise, while gaining broad exposure to Amazon leaders across the org. This role supports Amazon's mission to be Earth's most customer centrist company and best employer.
Key job responsibilities
• Analyze customers’ learning problem and define strategy and solution working backwards from customer voice.
• Develop content and material of learning programs for Amazon customer in Japan, partnering with Program Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from functional teams.
• Finalize contents design (e.g. learning objectives, topic contents, media formats, etc.) of the subject learning programs.
• Flexibly select contents format types (e.g. text, graphics, animation, video, interactive activities, check tests, etc.) and ensure a high level of learning experience.
• Drive end-to-end program lifecycle over Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate (ADDIE) by managing internal Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Facilitate existing classroom training as needed.
A day in the life
• Interface with vendors, employees, and stakeholders to gather feedback and requirements by bench-marking studies to understand learning trends
• Develop course materials L&D related software/tools and publish
• Manage LMS (e.g. training assignments, data reporting, user escalation management, etc.)
• Coordinate training sessions and team development initiatives.
• Measure the deliverable effectiveness.
• Prepare and present business reviews and strategic documentation including PRFAQ and Operational Planning (OP) with Manager.

Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of working experience in defining learning problems, designing and developing customer-oriented training curriculum and contents with instructional design expertise at a corporate setting
• Proven track record of end-to-end learning program lifecycle management, from needs assessment to implementation, with focus on user success and multi-channel retail strategies
• Experience in using e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, etc.) and video editing tools (Camtasia, Adobe Premier, etc.) as well as training management through LMS.
• Fluent in English and Japanese (both oral/written)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in training/learning development in e-commerce or technology companies, with demonstrated success in creating and managing paid digital learning content and programs
• Bachelor's degree in adult learning, instructional design or related field (or equivalent experience), with strong knowledge of learning management systems, curriculum design, and multi-modal delivery methods
• Experience in contributing strategic planning and delivering complicated learning solutions with demonstrated data-driven decision-making ability for content optimization and learning effectiveness through analytics
• Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills, with ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams to drive results through others
