BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Learning Event Support for an onsite/remote opportunity in Seattle, WA.

Position Title: Learning Event Support

Location: Seattle, WA - Onsite/Remote (can be both depending on the need of the position)

Anticipated Start Date: September 22nd, 2025

Expected Duration: 8+ months (with possibility of extension)

Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Onsite/Remote

Pay Range: $23/hr. - $25/hr on W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

You are:

An orchestrator as support for facilitators, presenters, and event hosts. You have the interest and skills to help make our client's learning programs and meetings run successfully - virtual or in-person. All with a strong ability to stay organized, be flexible, customer focused and possess a communication style and technical know-how that builds confidence and makes the learning experience inclusive and straightforward.

The work:

The role will support both virtual learning events (virtual session support) and in-person learning events (onsite session support) in the region you live, based on your availability. Work is highly variable, with schedules available between 6-24 hours a week ~8 months of the year. Your hours may increase based on the pipeline of session support work over time. Use a PC (laptop) with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook as tools to perform your job and ensure a smooth learner experience (sharing screen and documents, adjusting audio, playing music, using the webcam). Capture participant attendance during virtual events and video conferences. Support the setup of virtual events and meetings such as creating links using web conference software, adding / removing content, making group assignments. Schedule and conduct rehearsals and pre-session checks with facilitators and suppliers to confirm delivery checklist readiness. Adjust as needed. Make last minute updates to participant tool access as needed. Validate and manage virtual breakout group assignments, including working through last minute changes. Record virtual sessions, download files, and share links. Manage session timekeeping and help facilitator to stay on schedule. Chat management: welcome audience, manage time keeping, post instructions and handouts, moderate in-session chat conversations and Q&A, enabling instructors to remain focused on facilitation. Execute in-session polls and capture results, download results. Coach attendees on joining small group breakout sessions, ensure breakout rooms are attended and monitor. Lead post-event debriefs with facilitators to spot opportunities for improvement for future sessions. Share trends with course owner(s). For in-person learning events, support successful event production tasks such as managing technology at a podium, multiple monitor settings and hybrid experiences (Teams broadcasts to live speakers), microphones for speakers, adjusting room lighting and sound settings, trouble-shooting basic technical issues, greeting speakers, managing audience questions and answer, supporting registration and event setup / breakdown.

Skills:

Basics of video conferencing, web conferencing and webinars in Microsoft Teams. Using teleconference, audio, and visual equipment. Using a computer and connecting to internet network to perform work. How to navigate a Windows operating system and Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel). Excellent verbal and written communications. Exceptional attention to detail, organized. Customer-centered approach. Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution/risk mitigation skills. Basics of event production/operations. May be required to stay stationary for long periods of time. May be required to stand for long periods of time. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. infrequently.

Bonus points if:

You have experience teaching, virtual facilitation, or event productions / operations.
