Reporting to the Manager, Talent Development, the Learning and Development Representative is the front-line customer service to employees, leaders and the public who visit the Human Resources department. The Learning and Development Representative is responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining and coordinating training opportunities provided by the Municipality. The Learning and Development Representative will maintain training databases, including but not limited to Excel, Employee Central, SAP and Oracle.
The ideal candidate exhibits the interpersonal, organization and communication skills necessary to collaborate with business partners, Key Partners, and team members.

Strong organizational skills through planning, scheduling, prioritizing, executing daily tasks and record keeping. Strong verbal and written communication with a wide variety of audiencesAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Highly organized with ability to prioritize duties during periods of high volume and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Working knowledge of the public sector (ideally, municipal government) Knowledge of Municipal operations is an asset.Demonstrated experience in understanding and applying policies and legislation.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive informationAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. WORK STATUS: Permanent, Full-time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm; 35 hours per week.
SALARY: Non Union; NU02 $47,760 - $56,189
WORK LOCATION: 8th floor, Purdy's Tower II, 1969 Upper Water Street, Halifax. The successful candidate will be required to work in office for 35 hours per week. Work location can be changed according to operational requirements.
