Role Title: Learning Consultant – Talent Development Centre of Excellence

12 Month Fixed Term Contract/ Secondment

Level 2: Senior Associate

Locations: London or Birmingham

Hybrid working: Currently 1-2 days in the office per week, some travel

 

Role objectives and key accountabilities:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Talent Development function as a Learning Consultant.  They will work closely as a team with our Learning Program Managers and supervise the day-to-day activities of Learning Co-ordinators.

 

The successful individual will be responsible for the deployment of multiple, impactful learning courses within one or more areas of the curriculum. They will create learning course deployment plans and manage the end-to-end execution of programmes - sourcing facilitators and ensuring they are adequately prepared for course delivery.  They will engage with suppliers and the Enablement team as required, as well as accurately forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on associated budgets.  They will also be responsible for oversight of learning administration activities and reporting on course feedback/evaluation.  

Your key responsibilities:

 

LEARNING DEPLOYMENT

Create Learning course deployment plans aligned to Learning Program planning and budgets, leading on the creation of the annual course / programme schedule with guidance from the relevant Manager and input support from Junior Learning Deployment Specialist Understand course content and make recommendations on the most efficient and innovative ways to deploy Oversee the end-to-end execution of Learning course deployment plans and budgets, including conference and event management, providing oversight of Learning deployment activities performed by the project team Oversee initial set up of courses and classes in SuccessFactors or other platforms e.g. CVENT and the initiation and ongoing participant nomination process Source facilitators for Learning courses, manage the facilitator pool and prepare facilitators for delivery of Learning courses Monitor uptake of learning and identify where action needs to be taken to optimize attendance Provide learning on-site support (as required) Ensure team is compliant with contracting and procurement processes with 3rd party suppliers Monitor Learning Program feedback and share insights with Learning Program Manager

 

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Manage the budget, accruals, forecasts, and actual costs of courses you are responsible for, supporting all Finance related activities as set out in the Learning Deployment model Support with monthly/quarterly/annual finance activities/requests from Operations team

 

STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS

Coach and partner with the Junior Learning Deployment Specialists to increase their knowledge, skills, and competence in role Manage the relationship with different business areas (such as UKI UK, UKI ROI, UKFS, ROI FS and Channel Islands) in relation to training dates and nominations Manage learning communications and newsletters, including the online portals for the courses you are responsible for

 

LEARNING FACILITATION

Facilitate Learning Programs as required across Talent Development, including both in person and virtual classrooms (appropriate to role). Deliver briefings for participants and/or facilitators as required. Support the hosting and production of online modules, webcasts and virtual learning projects. 

 

TEAM

Support the Talent Development function by undertaking other operational activities and projects which deliver enhanced value to stakeholders Support the induction of new team members Take on other functional activities eg supporting the organisation of team meetings/events or contributing to broader projects as required.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS

 

To qualify for the role you must have:

A background and experience in project management, in the context of learning deployment or coordination, ideally within a Professional Services firm Interest in learning and development Strong team worker, with enthusiastic, can-do approach, with ability to coordinate and work as ‘one team’ Excellent coaching and interpersonal skills Ability to work well unsupervised and use initiative where required Highly organised with a sound attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines Ability to juggle conflicting demands on time and prioritise effectively Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with, and manage multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels Takes ownership for professional growth and maintains learning and relevance in the role Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint Data management and analysis skills, ability to provide evidence-based insights  A desire to embrace and drive change whilst identifying and supporting process improvements and demonstrating best practice

Preferred Experiences:

Experience of working in Learning Experience of facilitating learning, briefings or meetings Experience of working in professional services or corporate environment
