Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Lean Manufacturing Specialist to lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across our production operations. This role is critical in driving lead time reduction, optimizing value streams, and embedding a culture of problem solving, initiative building, and 5S workplace organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive change agent with a strong foundation in Lean principles and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Time Reduction:
Analyse production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to reduce cycle times and improve throughput.

Value Stream Mapping:
Facilitate cross-functional teams in mapping current and future state value streams to eliminate waste and enhance flow.

Problem Solving:
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., A3, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis) to resolve operational issues and prevent recurrence.

Initiative Building:
Champion and coach continuous improvement initiatives, engaging employees at all levels to foster a Lean culture.

5S Implementation:
Lead 5S audits and training to ensure a clean, organised, and safe work environment that supports productivity and quality.

Training & Coaching:
Deliver Lean training sessions and mentor team members to build internal capabilities and sustain improvements.

Performance Metrics:
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives, including lead time, waste reduction, and productivity gains.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.3+ years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement role.Strong knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies (Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, etc.).Proven experience with value stream mapping and 5S implementation.Excellent analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
