Responsible for championing and leading Lean initiatives at the Plant level by utilizing the company's WIN Strategy. Organizes associates in value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste in all office, factory and support functions. Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using the Lean Must Do’s, financial performance measures and internal tracking InfoCenter. Transfers the ownership of lean principles to facility leadership.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Position reports to the Lean Manager. May also have reporting accountability to the Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager. Ensures full Lean education and implementation in all functions at the plant and / or facility level to insure sustainability.
+ Aid in supporting a safe ergonomic working environment for all employees in the facility.
+ Ensures that steering committees, Starpoint, and Natural High Performing Teams (HPTs) are established and are implementing the Lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to corporate requirements.
+ Facilitate & drive all Kaizen activity, savings, actions through the Kaizen Promotion Office.
+ Facilitate & lead Kaizen events at all levels in the organization from site leader to individual team members using the Parker Lean System (PLS) & problem-solving tools.
+ Ensure adherence to all PLS standards for the Site, Value Stream and Team Improvement Boards, enabling a PDCA culture and progression of the Lean Journey.
+ Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes including conducting process analysis, floor layouts, Value Stream Mapping, Constraint identification/management, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from the operators/ production technicians.
+ Guide engagement in all HPTs & facilitate weekly on the floor walks (GEMBA), monthly steering meetings, Hours of Powers, BARNs & kaizen activity.
+ Purchase tools, materials that aid continuous improvement efforts.
+ Ensure productivity and project tracking (InfoCenter) Data entry & metrics are appropriate accurate and complete for entire site.
+ Use Lean Tools on the floor with Natural HPT/Starpoint’s/Site Leaders to solve business problems related to Safety, Quality, Delivery Cost and drive Value stream & Team improvement task list closure.
+ Ensures on-going education of all employees at the Plant in Lean and trains associates how to continually eliminate waste. Promotes a Continuous Learning environment. Position must understand the current culture & engagement through constant Lean Must Do monitoring.
+ Travel could be required to train, observe, transfer manufacturing processes up to 10-25%.

+ Must be a US citizen or US Permanent resident.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering required with coop/internship experience in manufacturing/lean experience a plus.
+ 0-2 + years of experience required.
+ Strong math skills, experience with Microsoft Office, Visio & CAD software a plus.
+ Ability to influence and work well with all functions of the organization.
+ Past experience participating and or leading a 5-day president, GM level Kaizen event a plus.
+ Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas for the site.
Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $69,500 to $115,000 annually
+ Participation in Annual Incentive Program
