Assists in the manufacturing and/or assembly of components and products within the department/value stream. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: + Assists in the manufacturing and/or assembly of components and products within the department/value stream. + Analyzes work orders to create schedules that meet both internal and external needs. + Interprets blueprint specifications and job orders, and assigns work to employees. + Plans flow of materials through department. + Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. + Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications. + Directs and assists employees to repair products which fail to meet standards. + Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. + Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. + Maintains Team Improvement Board. + Provides input on employees for performance assessment purposes. + Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area. + Performs other duties as necessary. EDUCATION: + High school diploma or general education degree (GED). EXPERIENCE: + 1-3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. + Full product knowledge within the department/value stream. SKILLS: + Ability to read and assemble from a schematic. + Organizational and interpersonal skills. + Ability to use problem solving tools to troubleshoot products. + Computer skills including MS Office, Lotus Notes and ability to learn Parker business systems. + Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
