Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off (Day Shift), alternating with 7 nights on / 7 nights off (Night Shift)

 

Join Gold Fields, where safety is at the heart of everything we do. We're seeking a dedicated Leading Hand Fitter to oversee and execute mechanical maintenance activities for our surface mobile equipment fleet. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability and optimal performance on site.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance for surface mobile equipment Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures Support and lead maintenance teams to meet operational targets Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of equipment issues Contribute to continuous improvement and asset reliability initiatives

 

About you

Australian recognised Heavy Duty or Mobile Plant Trade qualification  Demonstrated experience in a mechanical supervisory or leading-hand role within mining or heavy industry Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement 5 years minimum post trade experience Previous experience in Komatsu and Caterpillar fleets  Holding a valid WA drivers license is mandatory; Tickets and certificates such as Apply First Aid, Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift are advantageous. Knowledge and application of relevant statutory obligations SAP experience is desirable
