Job Summary:
Leader Warehouse is responsible for the physical material flow in the plant including receiving & shipping functions, warehouse layout operations and flow, and delivery of product to work centers throughout the plant, directing the process of order receipt, material planning and receipts, production/supplier scheduling, inventory accuracy/management, and warehouse management. The Leader Warehouse communicates with internal and external customers on a regular basis or to inform them of issues affecting their business. Utilizes management tools to review day to day and trends, ensures all processes are up to target or provides intervention and corrective action. Trains and develops staff to ensure they are utilizing the most efficient methods and systems applications provided.
Essential functions of the job:
Oversee receiving of materials and inbound material activities; monitor reports and communicates with staff to ensure sufficient materials are available to production and ensure inbound raw materials. Understand fundamentals of scheduling system and use reports to manage processes that affect production. Manage warehouse to ensure utilization of space and material flow is efficient for the facility;manage and monitor maintenance of storage and holding areas to ensure product is secure and properlyidentified; manage and maintain accurate location listings and communicate to staff. Supervise subordinates in essential functions and ensure departmental compliance of all company policies/procedures and customer mandates. Manage with proactive methodsutilizing management reports and good communication to invoke actions to eliminate delays; manage adherence to production and shipping schedules using tools provided. Manage and communicate contingency plans for workflow changes as necessary on an on-going basis for prevention plan for timing issues. Maintain Destination Shipping instructions and ASN Contingency Matrix per the YF iOS shipping standard. Auditsubordinates and their work areas to ensure employee safety and housekeeping. Participate in annual budget forecasts, reports costs for material and labor within MaterialGroup to Plant Manager as necessary. Manage enforcement of methods andpolicies ensuring the most efficient and economical transport of all materials in and out of the plant per established routings, frequencies and modes. Enforce utilization of Quality and MPL procedures to increase efficiency and effect change through work instructions, recordsand training.Required Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree Electric, Mechanical and / or Industrial Engineering Administration, Materials,and/or Logistics or similar. *Equivalent work experience may also be considered for this position. 2-5 Years of Experience within the field. 1-3 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
