What Will You Do

Understanding the U.S. healthcare environment and its complexities is captivating and stimulating. This team works with several Lilly Value & Access organizations to bring operationally excellent solutions and art of the possible ideas together to transform the way we work. In this role, you will manage a team of individual contributors working on both transformational and operational activities for several key LVA business areas. You will encourage innovative concepts and ensure secure, resilient, modernized, and compliant operations for the many critical Tech at Lilly solutions that run Lilly’s premier affiliate.

How You Will Succeed

As the leader for this team, show curiosity and a love of learning to understand the U.S. healthcare landscape and how the business uses technology to support and transform end-to-end business processes. Guide the work of all direct reports and contract workers to ensure appropriate delivery in accordance with all applicable regulations and desired business outcomes. Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve the work that we do. Align resources to the appropriate priorities to ensure on budget and on time delivery. Bring new ideas that change the way we think. Encourage diversity of thought, build a culture of trust, embrace selflessness, and foster leadership in others. Ensure the stable operations of billions of dollars of financial transaction while supporting the future vision of Lilly Value and Access.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership & Resource Management

Supervise individuals on a day-to-day basis. Ensure capacity is utilized and properly prioritized

Evolve and expand team by hiring new employees aligned with business and technology objectives

Partner with and fully integrate LCCI Tech organization to maximize technical skill sets and capacity

Create development plans for each employee. Actively coach by providing positive and constructive feedback. Own performance management.

Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture, and grow current and future talent according to career goals and objectives

Operational Excellence

Design and uphold scalable operational processes that keep all technology and data assets within the portfolio stable, proactive and efficient

Leverage AI, automated testing, and emerging technologies to streamline operations

Lead regular operations reviews with team and business partners and set a culture around fostering operational excellence

Oversee operations for affiliate-critical systems

Financial Management

Own overall team OPEX budget

Own and manage project CAPEX budgets

Evaluate financial needs regularly and partner with business partners to identify future state asks to maintain operation and foster innovation

Strategy & Innovation

Anticipate emerging needs and proactively identify technology solutions

Constantly refresh existing LVA tech roadmaps to ensure the right people, processes and technologies are engaged

Challenges ways to further integrate AI into the portfolio

 Partner with business organizations to define and execute on strategy to deliver technically strong capabilities aligned with business objective

Your Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, management of information systems or related technical field

Minimum 7 years’ experience in Information Technology

Experience leading AI programs and projects

Previous formal people management experience

Previous CAPEX & OPEX budget management experience

Experience leading large programs in the commercial space

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$124,500 - $182,600

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
