CooperVision (CVI) is recruiting a Leader, Quality. This role Leads the QA (Quality Assurance) and DL (Direct Labor) Operators to assure that product complies with the quality standards. The position is based in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, and works onsite.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Preparing Rework Protocols or memos for NCRs Evaluating NCR Investigating NCR Approving NCR Completing NCR Lot Release Evaluating SU's NCR Investigating SU's for NCR Approving SU's NCR Completing SU's NCR Providing Direction Monitoring Unit Performance People Development Providing Capabilities to Work Unit Assuring Compliance with Laws & Regulations Payroll Administration/ Kronos Vacations & Overtime Administration for Non- Exempt Verifies all equipment is calibrated Supports QAO and DL associates by providing resources, advice, etc. Other duties as assigned.Assists in:
Sterilization Equipment Troubleshooting Demounting Equipment Troubleshooting Finished Goods Management Managing QF Quality issues Reviewing/Approving NCR’s Dispositions Initiating Non-Conformance Resolution Non-Conformance WIP Management Initiating SU’s Non-Conformance ResolutionQualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Strong organizational skills Ability to manage ambiguity, multiple projects and activities across the full diversity of the business maintaining and driving quality throughout. MS Office proficiency including intermediate to advanced Excel. Strong software and applications working knowledge including Quality systems experience. Robust partnering, stakeholder management, influence, negotiation, judgement, presentation and communication skills. Teamwork-oriented mindset and execution. Exceptional attention to detail and attention to detail, strong focus on accuracy. Fully bilingual, English and Spanish, both written and verbal. Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours based on operational needs. Expected travel is less than 5% of the time.Experience and Education:
Five (5) years of related Quality leadership experience in the regulated manufacturing required. Working knowledge and hands on experience with QA matters. Bachelor’s degree required. Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or technical majors strongly preferred. Minitab statistical software proficiency preferred.
