GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of a Cardiologist, performs diagnostic ultrasonic procedures for evaluation as prescribed by a physician. Requires knowledge and use of highly specialized equipment. In addition to the responsibilities of a Cardiac Sonographer, the leader will be expected work closely with the Nurse Manager, Physician Director, and Service Line Director to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times for Main Campus and the additional five-cardiology noninvasive labs to include nuclear stress tests, echocardiograms, as well as portable inpatient echocardiograms. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Must be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer from a national accreditation board. Must have a minimum of two (2) years' experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer. 

Registered Cardiac Sonographer in an established hospital non-invasive cardiac testing unit is preferred. 

 

 

LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
