TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open role of 2nd shift Lead Welder at our Shell Rock, IA site.  As a Lead Welder at Trinity, you’ll apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weld able materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment. 

What you'll do:

·       Lead a team by assigning tasks

·       Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines

·       Maintain and improve quality

·       Train lower levels

·       Make welds to stainless and carbon steel

·       Repair aluminum

·       Perform TIG welding (stainless and aluminum)

·       Perform full welds to subassemblies and to the tank

·       Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove

·       Perform repairs to subassemblies for final product

·       Perform oxy-fuel welding

·       Perform carbon arc welding

·       Conduct multiple NDE tests

·       Follow all safety rules and practices

·       May be involved in safety committees or initiatives

·       Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

·       Minimum of 4 years of experience
