Lead Web Developer (WordPress) - Part Time
Developex is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer / Team Lead to join the team of our partner - a company that develops advanced workforce and productivity analytics software. Their platform collects and analyzes operational data to help clients assess and optimize business performance. Required Skills and Knowledge: CMS & WordPress Engineering + Maintain our WordPress platform, including theme and plugin architecture; + Customize and configure WordPress to meet business goals and SEO/performance best practices; + Must have knowledge-based of implementing and maintaining features and functionality via custom code, ACF, Gutenberg and reusable components; + Provide technical direction for the website development and exchange thoughts between developers; + Participate in roadmap planning and estimation; contribute to solution architecture and technical documentation; + Marketing technology integrations knowledge (e.g., ZoomInfo, Marketo, On24, Intercom); + Monitor site performance using tools like New Relic, Cloudflare, GTmetrix, and Lighthouse; + PHP linters, JS linters, CodeSniffer, Prettier. Performance, Security & Compliance + Monitor and optimize performance (Core Web Vitals, LCP, CLS); + Implement advanced caching strategies (object caching, CDN tuning); + Enforce security best practices: SSL, WAF, HTTP headers, vulnerability scans; + Familiarity of working with agencies responsible for site compliance; + Replace or refactor outdated or unsupported plugins with modern and maintainable alternatives. Technical SEO Engineering + Collaborate with stakeholders to implement scalable technical SEO solutions; + Manage site structure, metadata, schema markup, robots.txt, XML sitemaps to specifications provided by SEO team; + Analyze bot traffic and server logs to identify crawl issues and improve indexability; + Implement SEO-critical front-end changes (markup, lazy loading, JS rendering, etc.); + At least Intermediate English to communicate with English-speaking team members.
