Lead Warehousing Administrator

Our workplace embraces diversity and inclusion – it’s a place where you can grow, belong and thrive. **Your day at NTT DATA** The Lead Warehousing Administrator is a senior support role and contributes to the effective management of the warehouse by updating warehouse databases and ensuring accurate warehouse documentation. This role acts as an escalation point based on queries received by clients and/or the internal team. This Lead Warehousing Administrator role acts as an informal team leader to less experienced members of the team. **Key responsibilities:** + Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfilment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. + Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. + Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. + Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. + Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. + Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines. + Responsible for the delivery of specific delegated tasks to a supervisor. + Resolves non routine issues escalated from more junior team members, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. + Tasks involve a degree of forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues. + Acts as an informal team leader to less experienced members of the team. + Supports on any other relevant tasks or initiatives as required by senior leadership/management. **To thrive in this role, you need to have:** + Good with Excel, Word and data entry programs. + Knowledge of various warehouse machinery and equipment. + Display client commitment and client service orientation. + Good attention to detail. + Good communication and organization skills. + Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations. + Had good team leader abilities. **Academic qualifications and certifications:** + Bachelor's Degree: A degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is an added advantage + Minimum 3 years working experience in similar position + Excellent analytical and IT skills + Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite + Ability to lead and manage a team effectively + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + A flexible approach to work and working hours + FLT driver license is desirable. + Relevant Warehousing certification essential. **Required experience:** + Significant demonstrated experience gained in a similar role. + Solid demonstrated experience operating warehouse equipment is desirable. + Solid demonstrated team leader experience preferably gained within a warehousing environment. **Workplace type** **:** On-site Working **About NTT DATA** NTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
