Work you’ll do

 

The Lead Video Production Technician is responsible for the delivery of video content across various platforms, studios, and production environments. This role involves working with emerging video technologies, optimizing video workflows, troubleshooting video-related issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

 

This is a hybrid/in-office role at our Hermitage, TN Deloitte location with required overnight travel.

Operate audio and video production equipmentManage and track hardware assets between locationsMaintain a clean and organized production environmentDeliver seamless audio/video experiences in fast-paced environmentsCollaborate with team members to execute various tasks associated with the productionOptimize delivery workflows to ensure customer satisfactionPerform post-production responsibilities such as editing and graphic creationPerform remote production responsibilities such as webinar creation and hosting, and pre-production planning

 

Duties:

Design, test, and deploy new production solutions and equipment. Document and diagram all utilized solutions and signal flows, and train team members accordingly.Demonstrate experience with various event technology platforms and audio/visual equipment (e.g., Virtual and Streaming Platforms, Gamification, Attendance/Registration tracking, Appointment Scheduling, Mobile Apps, Communications, Event Analytics).Use detailed observation and assessment to identify potential situations that could impact the production environment, based on a comprehensive knowledge of technical configurations and broadcasting protocols for specific events.This position will be privy to confidential, classified, and unpublished information; therefore, is critical that discretion and confidentially are always exercised and at the forefront of all communications written and verbal.Be a creative and analytical thinker, capable of handling quantitative and technical duties while also implementing the visual aspects of an event.Monitor all elements of the signal distribution in real-time during live events, from origin to endpoint. Rapidly and rationally assess the “On Air” impact and determine probable causes in the event of suboptimal viewing experiences or service failures. Focus on Network Optimization, Audio Video Synchronization, Optimal Audio Fidelity, Graphical Overlays, Player Page Video/Content Synchronicity, and related content. Conduct RCA post-event to address and remedy any issues encountered.Take ownership and successfully deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little to no supervision. Communicate effectively with a diverse audience, propose solutions and explanations in writing, and collaborate with a wide range of teams to oversee events.Instruct and educate c-suite support teams on the appropriate capabilities and security considerations for c-suite events.Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology, and production processes. Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability. Maintain technology documentation and operational upkeep for Audio Video applications/products. Provide training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals. Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and derive resolutions.Maintain vendor relationships and reviews for existing technologies, as well as investigate and implement new vendor technologies.Manage platform subscriptions, licenses, billing, and configuration.Manage all asset inventory, assignment, upkeep, tracking, and maintenance.Travel on-site for physical installation, troubleshooting, and production support. Some overnight travel required.

Customer Experience

 

The Customer Experience (CXO) team is DT – US first line of contact with personnel. Providing walk-up support, asset management, PC compliance, and mobile devices support, CXO provides hands-on support to Deloitte employees.

 

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of various professional technical experience.Minimum of 5 years of related experience with streaming technologies, lighting, audio, and live production with combined proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, MS Office Suite, and Virtual Event Platforms (Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.).Hybrid/Onsite at Hermitage, TN Deloitte office with ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends as needed. (Travel up to 50%).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of standard streaming/video equipment, including switchers, audio boards, routers, GFX creation, cameras, lighting, microphones, codecs, playback equipment, and other relevant production equipment.Proven project management skills to design and deploy complex production systems.Demonstrated knowledge in operating equipment to support Local Audio Reinforcement, Video and Graphics Technologies, including projection, switching and formatting, Video Recording and Camera Operation, Internet Broadcast Video Streaming, Network Infrastructure Assessment, Set design, and IT operations and support.Knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN plus redundancy protocols, technologies such as TCP, UDP, MPLS, Multicast, Unicast, QoS, and firewall requirements.Ability to exercise sound and rational judgment based on a comprehensive knowledge of signal flow protocols, endpoint configurations, and live production environments.Ability to articulate and physically demonstrate best practices for studio staging, lighting, camera, and audio setup. Train others on best practices for event technical delivery and any new technology.Quickly analyze probable causes and options, then execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) fail-over procedures.Experience with VOD Enterprise Content Management Systems.Vendor management and review experience to ensure correct services, processes, and policies are adhered to.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureAbility to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,900 to $149,700.
