Lead Tube Bender Technician
General Summary: We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Lead Tube Bender Technician to guide our Assembled Solutions Group, specializing in hose assembly and tube bending operations. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery of custom-assembled components. The ideal candidate will bring a can-do attitude, strong leadership skills, a working knowledge of custom fabrication processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Essential Job Functions: + Lead and coordinate the activities of production staff in the Assembled Solutions Department. + Oversee hose assembly operations, including cutting, crimping, testing, and final inspection. + Direct tube bending operations, ensuring accuracy of bends, fit, and finish per customer specifications. + Schedule workloads and assign tasks to meet production goals, delivery deadlines, and quality standards. + Monitor equipment performance and ensure regular maintenance and calibration of hose and tube processing equipment. + Enforce safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. + Train, coach, and evaluate team members to promote skill development and high performance. + Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments to resolve production issues and implement process improvements. + Maintain accurate production records, including labor and material usage. + Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, waste reduction, and process optimization. + Ensure all assembled products meet or exceed internal and customer quality requirements. Supplemental Job Functions: + Occasional customer visits to support field sales. + Provide and promote a positive work environment. + Participate in corporate on-boarding, orientation, and training programs. + Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with previous leadership or team lead responsibilities. + Demonstrated hands-on experience with hose assembly (e.g., hydraulic, industrial, pneumatic) and tube bending (manual and NC/CNC bending equipment). + Strong understanding of blueprint reading, measuring tools, and mechanical drawings. + Knowledge of quality systems, safety regulations, and ISO standards. + Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production tracking software (ERP/MRP systems preferred) + High mechanical aptitude with general understanding of tools and machinery.  + Ability to work independently and multi-task efficiently. + Excellent customer service attributes. + Ability to work flexible work schedule depending on demands in the department. + Organizational skills required to prioritize, plan and coordinate work activities and resources in area of responsibility. + Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with associates, customers, business partners and management team. Working Conditions: + Normal manufacturing environment with regular (up to 100% of work time) exposure to noise, dust, oil, hazardous materials and extreme temperatures.  Use of safety equipment and adherence to approved safety procedures is required to minimize potential for harm. + Physical dexterity needed to bend, stretch, lift and reach. + Ability to sit or stand for extensive periods throughout the day. + Ability to use a keyboard and computer.   Powered by JazzHR
