The Lead Technology Leader for Humana Military will support the technology planning and future support model for the Veterans Administration (VA) Community Care Network (CCN) contract and responsible for driving the strategic technology direction and future technology ecosystem for solutions that support the VA’s mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and government regulations.
The Lead Technology Leadership Progressional works with design engineering and test team to drive products from design completion to volume production release. Performs various engineering tests to verify and validate product designs. Supports product evaluation and qualification on leading edge technology components. Ensures that production schedules are followed and product(s) meet specifications and quality requirements. Interacts with product engineering, quality, manufacturing and marketing teams to analyze and provide technical support to help resolve customers’ product related problems/issues. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for the VA CCN program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Provide leadership to drive technological innovation and transformation within the program.
Solution Oversight
Oversee the design and delivery of the future technology ecosystem for solutions that support the VA CCN program.
Work cross-functionally across all Humana Military value streams to ensure seamless integration and transition plans are in place.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders, presenting technology plans, progress, and outcomes.
Technical Expertise and Innovation
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in healthcare IT and government solutions.
Identify opportunities for innovation and drive the adoption of new technologies that enhance the VA CCN program.
Risk Management and Compliance
Ensure all technology solutions comply with policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure the reliability, security, and integrity of IT systems.
Budget and Technology Lifecycle Management
Develop the 3–5-year technology budget needed to support the VA CCN Program
Develop the 3–5-year technology lifecycle plan across all value streams to support a modern, effective and efficient technology ecosystem supporting the VA CCN program.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or similar are highly desirable.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven experience leading large-scale IT initiatives within the healthcare sector, preferably with government agencies.
Strong understanding of healthcare IT standards, interoperability, and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated expertise in project management, systems integration, and enterprise architecture.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS– National Background Investigation Service)
Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position
