The Lead Technician, QC is responsible for overseeing the quality control processes within the QC environment. This role ensures that products meet the required standards and specifications before they reach the customer. The Lead Technician, QC will conduct inspections and implement quality control procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Support the implementation of new methods and equipment as required, including performing validations and writing of procedures within the document management system.
• Lead the planning of the laboratory to ensure the required throughput KPI's are achieved.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and any non-conformances. Prepare reports and documentation for management review.
• Perform necessary system transactions as required.
• Manage Lab Equipment Maintenance Schedule and perform small autonomous maintenance activities.
• Identify areas for improvement in the quality control process and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality.
• Train new QC technicians on quality control procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Ensure all QC activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions to address and resolve problems.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to plan lab related CAPEX, address quality issues and implement solutions.
• Raise Supplier Non conformances are support effective investigation and closure of any raised
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

You Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control.
• Fluency in local language a requirement, other languages encouraged.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or food industry, within a manufacturing background.
• Strong understanding of the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems is essential (SQF, BRC, FSSC, ISO).
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail is essential.
• Continuous Improvement mindset.
The salary wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary - $65,000-$85,000.
