Lead Systems Operations Mainframe Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a lead Systems Operations Mainframe Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the various Mainframe Payment Applications within GPLT.


In this role, you will:

Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teamsWork as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional areaReview and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systemsMake decisions on technical changes and enhancementsConsult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of software design and development experience in leading/managing mainframe applications in a high-volume production environment


Desired Qualifications:

z/OS, CICS, COBOL, IMSDB, DB2, NDM, MQ, JCL, REXX, Endevor, BMC Mainview experience preferredExperience with one or more Observability/Monitoring tools: Mainview, Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk, and DynatraceServiceNow experience Incident Management experience Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environmentExperience supporting and working with offshore teamsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsAbility to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environmentKnowledge and understanding of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies, including static/dynamic testingDemonstrated ability to work in a geographically distributed team (including onshore and offshore)

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$96,600.00 - $171,800.00
