Job Description

Lead Systems Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Atlanta, Georgia).  Responsible for third level support of the main applications under Cox Automotive umbrella. Interacts with application users and is the main point of contact for issue escalations. Establishes and maintains a collaborative relationship with our development teams. Provides input to program/project initiatives. Contributes to and leads efforts to design, configure, operate and perform maintenance on assigned aspects of supported applications and computer systems. Accountable for planning and implementation of troubleshooting and knowledge transfer sessions for systems support services, tools, and infrastructure, including services associated with hardware, software, and web portals. Provide technical input on improvement of systems support services, tools and technologies. Play a key role in the evaluation, configuration, tuning and build generation for newer operating system versions. Produce training materials, classes, processes and procedures for technical personnel and systems users. Analyze trends to help determining root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience utilizing XML structures and SQL. Also requires 6 years of experience: creating and managing incident and tasks using ITSM software; using API testing scripts using POSTMAN or SoapUI; using Linux, MAC, and Windows operating systems; using on-premise and on-cloud resources, including servers and applications; and utilizing Microsoft 365 productivity applications. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Position reports to Atlanta, GA office.  Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

Compensation includes a base salary of $129,147- $150,100. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program. 

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
