Lead Systems Engineer
As a Principal Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination. Your monitoring of project progress and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards will help maintain project efficiency and deliver high-quality results. You will report directly to our Principal Project Engineer and you'll work out of our Deer Valley Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have an impact on the company's success by ensuring the successful execution and delivery of complex engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion + Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders + Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation + Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success + Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards + Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery + Provide technical guidance and support to project team members + Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics + 6+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles **WE VALUE** + Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget + Strong leadership and project management skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment + Experience in risk management and problem-solving + Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies + Technical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry + Diverse and global teaming and collaboration + Strong management operating system that facilitates communication + Ensures that departmental core competencies include continuous PE skill development. + Understand of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers + Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives. + Persuade to influence other to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches + Significant experience in engineering Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, the future of aviation and energy transition.
