The Lead will manage and lead automated system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle including the design, development, implementation, modification, planning, estimating, feasibility testing and evaluation of automated systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in administration of Linux systems, both workstations and servers. Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux, especially versions 8 and 9, is preferred. The position is for on-site work, with hybrid work possible with experience in the job.  

 

A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00am—5:00pm.  

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:   

Lead IT projects, including planning, obtaining customer input and projecting resource requirements. 

Review system requirements with customers and translates requirements into specific functions or deliverables. 

Analyze flow chart processes and recommend ways to reduce steps and increase efficiency through use of technology. 

Plan, schedule and manage multiple projects requiring computer resources including project scheduling. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related field 

6 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning and scheduling a major information system project 

OR High School Diploma / GED or equivalent and 9 years of experience  

OR Associate’s Degree and 7 years of experience 

For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date 

Understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts 

Understands principles of client/server configuration 

Excellent knowledge of messaging technology and project management skills 

Must have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and can work independently 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   

Experience with NIH and computing requirements  

Experience with HCPs 

Experience with Cloud and high computing  

Experience with large scale storage  

Linux systems administration experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. 

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

In some locations, ability to move up to 20 lbs.
