JOB TITLE: Lead System Engineering

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

*Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St. Dallas, TX 75202 [Hybrid]

DUTIES: Elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components including define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces. Validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others. Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including: Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and explore alternatives. Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities. Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, retrospective workshops. Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Collaborate with financial analysts to define and validate system requirements. Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and audit activities. Conduct data analysis and troubleshooting in support of financial reporting systems. Build multiple versions systems addressing performance and scale. Develop technical documentation on applications and systems. Utilize SQL. Utilize  applications on public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Use data analysis with financial reporting data. Collaborate with business users in support of requirements engineering, documentation, or troubleshooting of system issues. Support monthly enterprise financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the company’s financial results.  Improve efficiency of  data warehouse etl processes to ensure optimal use of cloud resources. Support current data migration technologies and methodologies in data warehousing industry. Utilize Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance processes. Use on-prem and cloud vulnerability remediation processes. Apply general architecture of Azure-Snowflake cloud platform for data warehousing. Use DevOps/SDLC processes. utilize advanced development skills in SQL/SnowSQL.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation building multiple versions systems addressing performance and scale; developing technical documentation on applications and systems; utilizing SQL; utilizing applications on public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP); using data analysis with financial reporting data; collaborating with business users in support of requirements engineering, documentation, or troubleshooting of system issues; supporting current data migration technologies and methodologies in data warehousing industry; utilizing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance processes; using on-prem and cloud vulnerability remediation processes; applying general architecture of Azure-Snowflake cloud platform for data warehousing; using DevOps/SDLC processes; and utilizing advanced development skills in SQL/SnowSQL.
