Lead Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer to sit fully onsite in Middle River, MD. They are responsible for both Supplier Quality Assurance and Development, this role ensures supplier qualifications, audits, action plans, and performance monitoring meet industry standards. Owns compliance across the supply base and partners with sourcing teams to align engineering requirements and product/process flowdowns. Drives root cause and corrective action investigations, leads supplier audits, and contributes to solutions in team environments. Supports Commodity Buyers with technical and commercial insights to improve manufacturing and product knowledge. Interfaces with senior leadership, advises managers on processes, and actively engages in supplier performance reviews. Success is measured by first-time yield, process capability, and effectiveness of quality plans and corrective actions. Applies Six Sigma principles, leads major investigations, and participates in cost-reduction initiatives. Compensation: $85K to $120K per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree OR high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality Engineering  5+ years in Supplier Quality Engineering  Strong understanding of engineering drawings and supplier management  Knowledge of sourcing and purchasing processes  Demonstrated leadership in audits, investigations, and collaborative improvement projects  Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)  Knowledge of AS9145, AS13100, or AS9120  Experience working with up to 15 suppliers  Experience with failure mode effect analysis and creating a quality improvement plan  Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Action specifically 8D o Determining currence or detection null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
