**Your Responsibilities**
As a **Lead SRE- React Front-End** for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Urbandale, IA, you will:
Be at the forefront of providing our customers with a reliable, best-in-class experience with a web- and mobile-based suite of farm and jobsite management tools. John Deere's customers rely on Operations Center to run their businesses and provide food, fuel, and fiber to humans across the globe, and you will work on a team that makes sure it is available to them when they need it. From autonomous tractors to excavators on a build site, you will ensure customers can continue to get work done.
+ Work and lead product teams with a focus on reliability, security, performance, and resiliency of products over a complicated or complex system.
+ Provide coaching and mentoring to others within the site reliability engineering discipline.
+ Be recognized as a technical advisor in the resolution of complex problems across many systems.
+ Develop creative functionality by identifying and organizing necessary resources. May have direct reports.

**What Skills You Need**
+ Ability to troubleshoot reliability, performance, and functional problems across many systems, especially the front end.
+ Has an expert understanding of JS, React, AWS CloudFront, and other technologies related to the reliable, secure, and high performance service of a web application to customers.
+ Ability to gather and analyze system/software metrics across the broad system in order to establish Service Level Objectives.
+ Ability to analyze, translate, and define non-functional business requirements into performant, secure, and reliable technical solutions. - Has an expert understanding of the principles, can apply the information to complex situations, solve complex problems, conduct research/break new ground, develop new applications, and provide expert support for other practitioners.
+ Successful experience delivering large scale software applications as a Senior-level Engineer
+ Expert capability in web-client or server-side development utilizing Front-end languages, particularly JavaScript, React.js, and Node.js
+ Ability to apply engineering principles and concepts for designs. - Has an expert understanding of the principles, can apply the information to complex situations, solve complex problems, conduct research/break new ground, develop new applications, and provide expert support for other practitioners.
+ Excellence in verbal and written communication forms with emphasis on persuasive communication, tact and negotiation. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
+ Ability to manage many competing priorities/requests in a fast-paced environment - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
+ Previous experience in software development. - 4 - 7 or more years, previous experience in React front-end software design. – 3 – 5 or more years.
**What Makes You Stand Out**
+ Experience with infrastructure as code in cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or GCP
+ Experience in Site Reliabilty Engineering and DevOps support roles
+ Strong experience in incident response for a customer-facing application
+ Product design, test and/or analysis experience
**Education**
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
+ Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
+ Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
