YOUR IMPACT
Join OpenText as a Solution Consultant / Application Engineer: PLM and become a trusted advisor to automotive customers exploring cutting-edge PLM tools and simulation technologies. In this dynamic, customer-facing role, you will support strategic sales initiatives by demonstrating and aligning Siemens and Dassault solutions—across CAD, structural simulation, manufacturing simulation, and PLM—to address real-world business and engineering challenges. From proof-of-concept execution to post-sale enablement, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the digital transformation journey for top-tier organizations in the automotive sector.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
Provide technical pre-sales support for Siemens and Dassault PLM software in the automotive market
Design and deliver compelling demonstrations, benchmarks, and proof-of-concept evaluations to show solution value
Align PLM capabilities to specific customer use cases across CAD, simulation, and manufacturing workflows
Deliver hands-on application engineering services, including training and on-site “over-the-shoulder” support
Mentor and train customer technical leads and subject matter experts
Contribute to internal knowledge growth and industry presence through speaking engagements and professional networking
Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and technical advancements in PLM and engineering
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Academic or professional experience with CAD and PLM methods, preferably in the automotive industry
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet team objectives
Agile mindset with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies
Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage with diverse customer teams
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Experience with any of the following tools is preferred:
Siemens NX CAD, Simcenter CAE, Teamcenter PLM, Tecnomatix
Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA CAD, SIMULIA CAE, ENOVIA PLM, DELMIA
Working knowledge of design and manufacturing processes in Automotive, Aerospace, or Defense sectors
