Lead Solution Architect

Chubb launched its third Engineering Center in Thessaloniki in 2022. Our rapidly expanding new Chubb Engineering Center in Greece (CECG) is integrated with the Engineering Centers in India and Mexico to support our global technology needs and digital business transformation, as well as the company's operations in the Europe - Middle East - Africa region operating in 27 countries.

Chubb is seeking a talented and experienced individual to act as CECG Head of Data Engineering. This is a rare opportunity to apply your leadership and engineering expertise to a subject you love: Data! We are looking for someone to lead and grow a talented team of data engineering professionals. This candidate will develop people, form strong working partnerships with business and technology leaders, plan and execute data engineering programs, and formulate data and analytics strategies for solving business problems.

 

Responsibilities

Lead architecture function in Digital, aligning with leadership on strategy. Break down strategy into actionable items for implementation. Collaborate with regional and studio architects to ensure architectural vision alignment. Define architecture landscape for specific Studio Platforms with platform and product owners. Own the business process and educate team on coding standards. Ensure technical design, proof of concept (PoC) execution, and code quality. Define system design, including sequence diagrams, data flow, performance, and security standards. Implement tools to maintain code quality per Chubb standards. Oversee performance and security aspects of the platform. Conduct hands-on coding and PoC for new capabilities. Ensure compliance with Chubb guidelines and disseminate actionable items to teams. Facilitate Technology Solution Governance (TSG) compliance across Studio products. Provide architectural leadership and subject matter expertise for complex client engagements. Balance strategic and practical considerations in project execution. Lead diverse project stakeholders towards successful delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or Economics. 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a multinational environment. 5+ years in a solution or technical architect role with cloud solutions. Experience with Microsoft-centric solutions (Azure) and Agile/DevSecOps methodologies. Knowledge of cloud security controls and project lifecycle management. Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills. Excellent project management, collaboration, and communication abilities. Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
