Job Description:
Lead Software Test Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Phoenix, Arizona). Functionally lead efforts to create and execute test cases for .NET components and APIs in an AWS-first environment, utilizing testing technologies including but not limited to xUnit, Selenium, and JMeter. Engage in project management for large projects, including overseeing test plans. Provide automated testing expertise and mentor junior test engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight. Own the testing automation strategy, test data management strategy, and test automation framework. Define, implement, and manage processes and “best practices” regarding automated testing. Provide metrics on business processes and code coverage for automated test suites and presents results to stakeholders. Maintain existing scripts for the purpose of reusability and regression testing. Analyze test results to identify issues. Work with architects and developers to suggest improvements and drive issues to resolution.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Business Analytics, Project Management, Technology Management, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience performing automated software testing. Also requires 6 years of experience: utilizing .Net, AWS, xUnit, Selenium, and JMeter; utilizing automated testing frameworks; building and testing frameworks, consumer-facing applications and databases; utilizing scripting and configuration tools; analyzing, designing and programming with development lifecycle methodologies; utilizing software test tools and processes; and defining automation strategies, defining best practices, and engaging with stakeholders to define appropriate test suites. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Position reports to Phoenix, Arizona office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
Compensation includes a base salary of $123,225 - $150,100. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
