JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Parkway Plano, TX 75075 [hybrid position]
DUTIES: Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers and architect, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. Responsible for dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing. Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the solution and its interfaces. Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split and realize the implementation of enablers. Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others. Drive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring team in best practices. Interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimates. Work with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently. Spearhead the transition and modernization efforts of application software across a dynamic technology landscape. Engage in the full spectrum of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes for solutions deployed in both on-premise and cloud-based settings. Establish a framework for regular monitoring and reporting on application performance and health to portfolio managers and key stakeholders. Utilize Java, Springboot and REST. Work with cloud technologies: AZURE, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible. Build using CI/CD technologies: Github, Apache Maven, Jenkins, Nexus and Sonar. Perform in-unit testing and function testing using JUnit, Spock, Mockito, and Postman. Work with asynchronous message processing, stream processing, and event-driven computing. Utilize Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB, SAFe Agile and Waterfall.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Java, Springboot and REST; working with cloud technologies: AZURE, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible; building using CI/CD technologies: Github, Apache Maven, Jenkins, Nexus and Sonar; performing in-unit testing and function testing using JUnit, Spock, Mockito, and Postman; working with asynchronous message processing, stream processing, and event-driven computing; and utilizing Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB, SAFe Agile and Waterfall.
