As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Wealth Plan, Retirement Area product, you will be leading a team and managing daily implementation activities. Your responsibilities will include identifying and escalating any potential issues, ensuring that the output from your team aligns with business requirements and compliance standards, and adhering to tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experienceExperience working with React, Typescript, Java, Spring boot, AWSExperience leading technology projectsExperience managing technologistsProficient in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityIn-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsPractical cloud native experienceExperience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
