Job responsibilities

Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teamsExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshootingCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsIdentifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, security and operational stabilityAdvanced proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as experience with testing frameworks. Solid understanding of lower-level design principles in JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience in optimizing JavaScript compilation for scalability and versatility, as well as building command-line interfaces (CLI), is essential.Strong background in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or NodeJS is also required.Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Practical cloud native experience with AWS services, like ECS, Fargate, SNS, SQS, and RDS PostgresSolid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, security scans and automation tools.Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
