Overview:
Our team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for a brand new team to help us build more resilient systems by proactively uncovering weaknesses in our infrastructure and applications. This role will be central to supporting multiple scrum teams with cutting-edge software solutions. You will closely collaborate with product and engineering teams to coordinate the end-to-end performance, quality, and reliability of our software products.

Role:
•\tDesign, develop, and deliver scalable software platforms and tools for performance, end-to-end, and other forms of comprehensive testing.
•\tChampion engineering best practices, including test automation (BDD), CI/CD, and performance monitoring.
•\tExplore opportunities to incorporate cutting-edge AI tools to increase efficiency across the SDLC.
•\tBe comfortable collaborating across large enterprises
•\tCollaborate with product and business leaders to translate business needs into technical solutions, using Agile methodologies.
•\tEvaluate and introduce new technologies aligned with our enterprise architecture standards.
•\tMentor engineers in resilient testing methodologies and incident preparedness
•\tLead post-incident reviews, help establish long-term and cross-functional fixes, and build a culture of learning from failure
•\tDrive operational excellence by improving platform reliability, scaling, and maintainability using data and metrics.
•\tEnsure platform security and compliance while balancing speed of delivery and long-term maintainability.
•\tDrive continuous improvement in the software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with our technical and business strategies.
All about you:
•\tA background in software testing, strong technical skills in automation, testing, and performance testing.
•\tExperience with end-to-end testing of multi-tier REST APIs and UIs.
•\tSolid understanding of modern web development (e.g., React, Angular, NodeJS, GraphQL).
•\tDeep expertise in testing strategies, frameworks, and automation tools for multi-tier REST APIs and UIs.
•\tPassionate about driving innovation in the testing space through AI-powered testing strategies.
•\tExpertise with CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
•\tDeep expertise in troubleshooting distributed systems and guiding long-term architectural improvements.
•\tProven ability to work collaboratively across global teams, navigating cultural and time zone differences effectively.
•\tEngineering experience with deep expertise in distributed systems, resilience engineering, or SRE
•\tHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code
•\tTrack record of leading reliability-focused initiatives across teams or organizations
•\tStrong communication skills and ability to influence engineers, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Vancouver, Canada: $127,000 - $203,000 CAD
