As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank's Global Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teamsExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshootingCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsIdentifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stabilityProficient in coding in Python Proficient in coding in ReactExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleUnderstanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityKnowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFamiliarity with modern front-end technologiesExposure to cloud technologies
