As a Front-End software engineer, you will leverage your existing knowledge and skills to build web interfaces using modern JavaScript tooling (Typescript, CSS and HTML5) with accompanied automated testing for a web application focused on product development. You will also be responsible for the deployment of this software in a production environment. You should be genuinely excited about technology, have a strong interest in learning about and playing with the latest technologies and building compelling web applications and UI.
As a Front-End software engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Lead the specification, design, implementation, deployment, and testing of software applications.Understand hardware and software interactions, and collaborate with Hardware Engineers.Lead the development of designs and test documentation.Mentor Engineers, Associate Engineers, and Technicians.Recommending and implementing processes following industry best practices for developing, testing, and deploying software.Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutionsModel, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.Understand. Create. Simplify.Serve as a technical contact for internal customers.Other duties as assigned.

You have a BA/BS degree in Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experienceYou have 6+ years of professional web front-end software development, including:
- Expert knowledge of the latest web standards and front-end engineering tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Components, REST API, Typescript, Node/NPM, Responsive UI)
- Experience with localization and internationalization (i18n)
- Be an advocate UX consistency, accessibility and empathy for the end user
- 6+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Test AutomationYou can collaborate in a team environmentYou have experience in Human centered design, agile development and automation applications.Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test result(s)

Pay Range Data:Software Engineer $75,000 – $108,000 per year.
Lead Software Engineer $85,000 - $124,000 per year.
Development Lead Engineer $95,000 - $143,000 per year.
We anticipate filling this position as a Lead Software Engineer however, we are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
