Lead Software Engineer - Capital Markets
**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer to join our Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology team. The ideal candidate will have experience converting code from .NET to Java with a strong understanding of the capital markets domain. **In this role, you will:** + Lead complex initiatives on selected domains + Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk + Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost + Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies + Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature + Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives + Mentor less experienced software engineers + Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers + Lead team to achieve objectives + Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively **Required Qualifications** + 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 5+ years of experience developing Java applications + 5+ years Capital Markets experience + 5+ years of development experience on Trading or Banking systems + 3+ years of SQL experience **Desired Qualifications** + Experience converting .NET applications to Java + 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications + Experience with .NET + 2+ years of Linux experience + Master's degree or higher in computer science or finance + Manual and automation testing experience + Familiarity with REST services + Ability to work independently within an Agile Scrum Team + Ability to work independently with given scope and task + Ability to talk to business, translate requirements and work with business when testing **Posting End Date:** 3 Aug 2025 **_*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants._** **We Value Equal Opportunity** Wells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
