Performs implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for agile software development for the Insights Hub and related products.  The Insights Hub is a web-based application that supports Caterpillar and its dealer community by offering one location to request and view analytical dashboards, data extractions, and direct pipelines into snowflake.  This role will partner with an off-shore development team to offer technical leadership and direction and help support any technical issues that arise during the day.

What You Will Do:

Designing, modifying, developing, and implementing software programming applications for the Insights Hub using agile methods.Writing source codes for new business functions, and/or generating and enhancing code for existing applications.Providing technical leadership to the off-shore development teamTechnical troubleshooting of the existing systemsFinding ways of improving existing processes through automation and fine tuning

Software Product Technical Knowledge:

Solicits customer feedback; reports and monitors bugs and implementation issues.Participates in creating technical requirements for software development and deployment.Explains basic environment and product configuration options.


Software Product Testing:

Tests software components for compliance with functional requirements and design specifications.Explains procedures for documenting test activities and results (e.g. errors, non-conformance, etc.)Conducts functional and performance testing on aspects of assigned products.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

Extensive background with Python programmingExtensive front-end development using Angular or ReactDatabase design and development such as MySQLExperienced with AWS servicesAn aptitude for system design

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $204,720.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
