As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you are an integral part of a team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Designing and deploying scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and platforms using AWS Services.Working closely with development teams, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Develop automation tools for efficient, noiseless alerting, toil, and technical debt. Analyzing and optimizing the performance of the platform to ensure resiliency, high availability, and responsiveness.Ensuring that the platform is secure by implementing best practices and security measures, such as access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.Troubleshoot minor/major incidents and contribute to resolution through post-mortems. Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Committed to continuous learning and improvement. Identify opportunities for improvement, explore new ideas, and methodologies that enhances our systems. Proficient in AWS and KubernetesExperience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormationHands-on experience with cloud deployment, monitoring, and ops analysis tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace. Proficient in at least one software language (e.g. Python/GO)Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Understanding of AWS AI and machine learning services like SageMaker, Rekognition.
