The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementation of Cepheid next generation software products. You will be developing Cepheid’s Connectivity platform, a cloud-based software platform providing administrative and analytics support for Cepheid’s GeneXpert product family .

You will be predominantly using Java, AWS and Angular. You’ll need to be well versed in object-oriented design and web technologies.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Design, implement and maintain molecular diagnostics web application software using Java, Angular and AWS servicesAssess and communicate the technical feasibility of features. Drive end-to-end quality with effective automation of unit level, component level and system level testingTake ownership and drive projects to completion following Agile lean software development processes. Conduct design reviews of software implementations and document the detailed designs.Be a team player who collaborates with cross functional teams which consists of members from firmware, hardware, technical support and software quality teams. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools quicklyExchange technical information with quality engineers and other members of your product group to review the design of the product features. Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.The essential requirements of the job include:Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 6+ years of experience working as a full stack developer with JavaStrong Java experience, Strong front-end development experience, Angular 2+  years preferred. Working knowledge about Cloud and IoT support for data analytics/data mining for more than 3+ yearsExperience in developing persistence layers using ORM frameworks like Hibernate and working with relational DB/SQLWeb application development experience with Spring MVC, Angular and REST API for more than 5+ yearsExpert experience with Object Oriented Design using design patterns for more than 5+ years and good debugging skill, Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

It would be a plus if you also possess:

AWS Solution Architect certification is preferable.Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins
