We are looking for a Lead Mobile Software Engineer to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on our Vega Mobile App, a next generation mobile public library experience.

About you

5+ experience in building and deploying mobile applications for iOS devices

Strong English language verbal and written skills, to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Strong knowledge in software development lifecycle and delivery methodology

Experience with Bitbucket git or related source control

It would be great if you also had

Experience with Firebase and/or Datadog logging and analytics

Experience with security and performance optimization

What will you be doing in this role?

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code from the beginning

Review other code to ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code

Lead and contribute to the architectural decisions and technical design

Implements design changes to improve quality, performance, cost reduction, and standardization through analysis of designs and problem-solving techniques

Responds to direct or indirect customer inquiries regarding function and design and attends customer meetings

Writes application technical documentation

Product you will be developing

Vega Discover is a very forward-thinking engagement and customer relations suite of tools for public libraries, to help library administrators reach out to and involve both their patrons and their communities in with more directed and personalized interactions.  Our mobile application will provide essential features for library staff to manage their content and enable better patron experience. 

About the team

This team of Android and iOS developers works on our mobile app aimed for new and existing Vega web application users.

Hours of Work 

Full-time position, typical working hours, 9am to 5pm. This is a hybrid position working in the office 3 days every other week.
