We are looking for a Lead Software Developer for Data Protection Solutions with strong development and trouble-shooting abilities and excellent communication skills and to maintain and improve our released software and support customers and partners who rely on it.
What the role offers:
As a Lead Software Developer, you will:
Rapidly acquire a broad understanding of the products, their overall architecture and how they are deployed and used in production.Understand the architecture and design of the Suite of Server Backup products.Actively assist in the investigation of problems encountered by customers and partners.Contribute to finding workaround, implementing/validating fixes and patches.Independently investigate and resolve problems encountered by customers and partners.Work closely with Support Engineers and members of development teams to deliver bug-fixes.Gain deep knowledge of the design and implementation of multiple sub-components of the products.Lead by example in the practice and promotion of excellence in communication, troubleshooting, and software development.In-depth understanding of OpenText/Carbonite Server backup product suite.Analyze, troubleshoot, and address complex issues.Lead projects from a technical standpoint, communicating with other groups as needed.Propose enhancements to internal processes and application stack.
What you need to Succeed:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent.8+ years of experience with focus on troubleshooting.In depth knowledge in Core C, C++/VC++, MFC, COM, C#, .NET Programming.Excellent knowledge of OSI, TCP/IP & Networking Concepts.Experience with socket, OpenSSL, gRPC programming in C/C++.Experience in SMB Storage management, performance tuning and troubleshooting.Experience with Network Captures and analysis.Excellent RDBMS experience.Advanced Experience with PowerShell scripts.Advanced Experience with process, memory dumping and analysis.Knowledge of SSH, HTTPS & Authentication methods like Kerberos.Experience with Git/GitHub.Fundamentally good programming and debugging skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.Be able to recognize/negotiate priorities with ability to multitask.Experience/Knowledge in AWS technologies.Experience/Knowledge in Microservices and Lambda.Experience/Knowledge in Unix system management and shell scripting.Good knowledge on VMWare and Hyper-V virtualization.
