\nLead Software Developer
\nAs a Lead Software Developer you will design, implement, and maintain application components within our CADAVL product.
\nResponsibilities
\n\n Lead the development of scalable, high-quality transit applications, guiding the team in coding best practices and modern technologies.\n Write and review critical code and frameworks using state-of-the-art technologies.\n Mentor and support team members by providing technical guidance, conducting design and code reviews, and fostering professional growth.\n Troubleshoot and resolve complex design and implementation issues and performance bottlenecks.\n Collaborate with the testing team to perform validation tests ensuring software flexibility, scalability, and reliability.\n Assist the software team with application integration and deployment activities.\n Conduct and analyze system performance tests and provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.\n Demonstrate advanced development expertise and stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends.\n Develop innovative solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform and ensure efficient deployment in transit environments.\n Deploy functional utilities, programs, and applications, ensuring alignment with user needs and organizational goals.\n Act as a self-starter and lead the delivery of solutions from concept to deployment, while mentoring junior developers.\n Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members through clear verbal and written communication.\n Maintain a user-centric mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.\n Collaborate effectively with agile development teams and other departments across the organization.\n Take the initiative and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, multi-initiative environment.\n Write scalable and efficient code for transit applications in C/C++.\n Draft and maintain software and application operating procedures and documentation.\n Review and contribute to technical specifications, solution designs, and implementation plans.\n Evaluate and review hardware and software requirements to support on-premises client implementations.\n\nRequirements
\n\n Bachelor’s / master’s degree in software engineering or computer science.\n Minimum of two years as a lead developer.\n Minimum of 10 years of experience directly working with C/C++, python \n Experience with the design and implementation of software hosted and on premise with installation guides.\n Experience with public transportation operations and systems, transit management software and hardware.\n Experience with radio communication systems, protocols, radio hardware and software integration.\n Knowledge of J1708/J1587 and J1939 vehicle communication protocols.\n\nPay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $101,063 - $131,250.
