Lead Software Consultant

In return we are rewarded, supported in our development and given the opportunities to grow within a large multinational organisation. **Position Summary:** This individual will work as part of our service delivery team for our software offering to the Offsite Timber Fabrication Market, which covers the design and factory manufacture of Roofs, Floor and Wall elements. You are a key technical advisor in consulting and educating customers, with responsibility for both growing our existing customers, and supporting new business opportunities by providing consultancy, demonstration and technical assistance to end users of our software. You will engage in educating/onboarding designers and key technical stakeholders, by mastering our products value proposition, and translation this into the painpoints and needs of the customer base. Additionally, working closely with the Commercial Team and Innovation leadership to engage in and help drive the wider business unit strategy, you will also be a key interpreter of market regulation changes and ensure our offering is future proofed for our market and continually adding value to both current and prospective customers. Finally, this role operates as a team leader role of a small number of UK based Software consultants, and in a ‘player-manager’ position, will provide tactical guidance, and line management support, as we drive continuous improvement in our Service offering. **Primary responsibilities & accountabilities:** + Line management and team leadership of the UK Software Consultancy Team. Maximise impact and influence by coaching and strategy/tactics that focus on 80 needs/opportunities. + Coach and develop your team on the journey from Technical Managers to Software Consultants + Facilitate deep integration with key (80) customers to provide exemplary technical support, enabling customers to maximise the product offering in line with their business and manufacturing requirements. + Develop bespoke software strategies for key customers that promote a long-term growth-oriented approach, to be visible and shared both internally and with the customer, and that are managed tactically with regular feedback on progress. + Take ownership for personal and professional development to continuously build on ITW CP product knowledge and industry regulation, to ensure we offer consultancy-level expertise. + Introduce customers to new software features. + Partner with commercial and innovation/development teams to target customer business priorities and bring the voice of the customer to our strategy. + Work cross-functionally with software development on live projects. + Partner with sales in new account acquisitions. + Identifying areas of risk from competition + Identifying trends and pain points within our target customer base, in both product & service and contributing this insight and support to other ITW teams driving Customer Back innovation. + Applying and understanding ITW Toolbox to working methods and approach, utilising ‘80.20’ methodology for time and project management. + For ensuring the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues + Arrange and/or attend specific company networking events and/or trade shows which will include evenings and weekends from time to time. + Provide training when required and utilise all relevant ITWCP teams to ensure high quality support for customer, peers and other stakeholders. + Always embody the ITW core principles of Integrity, simplicity, trust, respect and shared risk. **Experience and skills:** + 3 years of experience with technical implementation of software + Experience in the truss, floor, timber frame industry preferred, or other construction technology. + Experience interacting with customers in a service or support capacity + Evidence of developing and implementing individual customer strategy for maximizing engagement, retention and growth. + Ability to influence others, guiding team with tools and processes, communicating critical information clearly and managing priority + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information to internal and external stakeholders + Ability to challenge, negotiate and influence others, both internally and with customers. + Proven experience as a highly motivated, results-driven, self-starter + Ability to travel regionally up to 70% + Valid driver's license and good driving record + Good working knowledge of MS Office suite of products. + Keen attention to detail. + Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
