Job Description

DUTIES:                               Provide technical leadership in the design and development of an internal automation platform, leveraging Platform Engineering principles; develop and maintain front-end software using modern web technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, and Babel; build robust back-end applications in Golang or Python, utilizing frameworks including Gin; manage and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes and Docker to ensure efficient deployment and scalability; design and implement enterprise-level AWS architecture, employing services including EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC; develop and deploy infrastructure using IaC principles to ensure consistent and reliable environments; design and implement robust automation solutions using tools including SaltStack and Ansible Automation Platform, including performing playbook writing, project management, and debugging; support ongoing development and customization of applications, including software updates and release rollouts; analyze, test, and integrate new applications; collaborate with QA to ensure alignment with specifications and technical requirements; document development activities, research and evaluate competitive products, and provide technical recommendations and reports; troubleshoot production issues, perform code-level debugging, identify root causes, and provide timely fixes; work closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements, determine product needs, and drive project success; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely within normal commuting distance of the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS:             Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, seven (7) years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining internal automation platforms using Platform Engineering practices; developing front-end software with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks including React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, and Babel; developing back-end applications in Golang or Python, utilizing frameworks including Gin; managing and orchestrating containers using Kubernetes and Docker, and troubleshooting complex issues in Kubernetes environments; of which five (5) years include designing and implementing large-scale enterprise-level AWS architecture utilizing EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC; designing and deploying infrastructure using IaC principles, specifically with Terraform; working with cloud computing principles, architectures, and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS); writing playbooks, managing projects, and debugging issues using Ansible Automation Platform, and maintaining Ansible Automation Platform with high availability; and designing and implementing automation solutions with SaltStack
