Summary
The Lead Simulation Therapist (LST) oversees the operations of the simulation rooms and ensures the simulations are done properly and efficiently. The LST will function as a liaison between the Physician/Physics/Dosimetry teams and Therapy staff in regard to all simulation procedures. The LST will maintain consistency across the centers and ensures the Radiation Therapists working in the Simulation room are equipped with the tools and knowledge they need. The LST will accomplish this by using enhanced communication and escalating potential concerns.
Serves as a resource and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on simulation procedures. Provide superior customer service and maintains positive working relationships by collaborating with appropriate departments and staff in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
Education required:
Associate's degree. Field of Study: Radiation Therapy
Licensure required:
ARRT Modality RTT
BLS
Registered radiation therapist FLDOH
Experience required:
4 years of progressive proven leadership and technical excellence working as a Staff Radiation Therapist with at least 2
years of simulation experience. Complete knowledge of all treatment and simulation procedures.
Broad knowledge on the procedures of the Radiation therapy department. Must be creative, innovative and have a
strong desire to grow
