Lead Senior Business Transformation & Strategy Specialist

Mercer (US) LLC is seeking candidates for the following full-time position based in the Austin, TX office (A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.):


 

                                                Lead Senior Business Transformation & Strategy Specialist

We will count on you to:

Engage with regional executive and business leaders from the Health, Wealth and Career corporate consulting practices to evaluate the business and identify and define strategic initiatives that support businesses’ profitable growth and solve business efficiency problems. Perform necessary research to develop a foundational understanding of the business’s specific context and operations. Lead discovery (such as stakeholder interviews, focus groups or formal questionnaires), data analysis and problem-solving to drive toward process excellence and/or transformation. Document and synthesize findings into actionable insights and useful collateral for the organization. Make recommendations for implementation of new strategies and organizational changes to achieve the business’ stated goals. Advise and influence leadership on potential actions, risks and potential mitigations, and assemble business cases as needed. Confer with leaders to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented strategies. Establish strong program governance for execution of new strategies and maintain involvement to ensure successful adoption and/or implementation of the business case/vision (such as standing up a new offshore team).

What you need to have: 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Business Management, Operations, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the position offered or a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with all of the following: Designing and driving large rightshoring and capital expenditure transformation programs within businesses (exceeding $500 million in annual revenue) working alongside senior management (segment-level CEOs and COOs); Leading internal cross-functional taskforces (Finance, HR, Operations, Communications, and Learning and Development) with senior leaders to develop growth and cost initiatives, each delivering greater than $1 million in impact; Building offshore centers of excellence and transitioning work offshore, navigating talent acquisition, onboarding/training, technical/infrastructure setup, and finance; Articulating the business impact of technology-focused CapEx engagements for executives providing critical input for technical scoping, procurement, and implementation planning discussions; Devising and performing data analysis and process documentation using specialized tools, including PowerBI, PowerQuery, Visio, and Qualtrics.
