What We’re Looking For:

The Lead Security Officer is responsible for patrolling and monitoring hotel facility to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees and the protection of hotel property and assets. Reports suspicious / unsafe activities or conditions to Security management to obtain direction and assistance. The Lead Security officer will partner with the Director of Safety & Security to coach and monitor the daily operations of the Security Department to ensure the hotel is meeting all safety standards and provide quality service to internal team members and hotel guests.

What You’ll Do:

Patrol front of house and back of house hotel areas, reporting any safety or security hazards, unacceptable behavior, or suspicious persons to Security management for direction and resolutionConduct pre-shift line-up daily to inform oncoming shift Security Officers of prior 2 shifts activities and anticipated events for upcoming shiftCoordinate the completion of Safety Checklists and guestroom security inspectionsEnsure that Security personnel activities are performed in a courteous and professional mannerDirect and assists the activities of Security Officers and other Security department personnelEnsure compliance with hotel Lost and Found ProgramProvide assistance to other hotel employees in applying Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control policiesReport any unusual incidents to the Director of SecurityDemonstrate complete knowledge of and ability to perform all Safety/Security officer responsibilities, including fixed and roving postsDocument all security related issues and assistance provided in appropriate Security reportsMonitor CCTV cameras, radio communications, and Fire Control ComputerLog, store, and return lost and found items in accordance with hotel policiesEnforce hotel rules/regulations in accordance with Employee Manual and hotel policyMonitor and ensure employee compliance to hotel key control policiesMaintain a visitor sign-in/out log and issue temporary passes to visitors/vendorsFollow New Hire Training Program and ongoing Star Service Training in accordance with hotel standardsCompletely understand and be able to perform hotel emergency proceduresKnow and perform both Security office and patrol procedures as outlined in the Standards of Performance ManualInvestigate all incidents and submit all daily reports in accordance with the Safety Security ManualMaintain all Loews Hotel standardsAble to make decisions on imperfect information. Agile with multi-taking, bias toward action, decisiveOther duties as assigned by Director of Security

Your Qualifications Includes:

Excellent observation, communication, guest service and report writing skillsThree years previous Security department experience preferredPossess, Class "D" Security license and CPR and First Aid certification or obtainPossess a California State Guard Card or obtainKnowledge of hotel operationsAbility to lift a minimum of 50lbs.Ability to speak, read and write EnglishAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
